Day1: Arusha

At 0900hrs, we embark on a five hour shuttle to Arusha, Tanzania via the border town of Namanga arriving in perfect time for cross border lunch at your guest house in Arusha, a small family owned establishment in the outskirts of Arusha where you will be hosted by Emmy Moshi. Afternoon at leisure to unwind at the guest house or sample the streets of Arusha for some souvenirs. Overnight at the guest house with excellent bites prepared from their own organically grown vegetables and tastefully served indigenous Tanzanian cuisine. Overnight, Guest House (L, D) 



Today, we set off for an early morning game run around Lake Manyara a small park famed for its large troops of  baboons and elephants, abundant birdlife- flamingoes in particular, tree climbing lions and its large soda lake and hot springs presenting excellent photo opportunities. Return to Mto wa Mbu for breakfast and depart for Karatu village in the Ngorongoro conservation area.

We check in at the homely and serene Farmhouse in time for lunch. Afternoon at leisure to relax and enjoy the fresh ambience of the farmhouse and panoramic views in this country made for photography. We enjoy a fresh and sumptuous dinner courtesy of the farmhouse 6 acre organic vegetable garden.

Today, after a sizzling breakfast by our private chef, we depart for Serengeti and on the way, visit a Maasai Village for an in depth of the culture of this flagship community.  Thereafter, continue with the drive to the park.
We spend two nights in Serengeti delving in this pristine wilderness in search of the great beasts.
We'll discover why the fabled Serengeti typifies everyone's dream of "Old Africa." Overnight bush camp. (B, L, D)

Days 2 and 3: Ngorongoro crater
Days 4 & 5: Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, depart from Arusha to Karatu village where we will set camp next to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and enjoy panoramic views in this country made for photography. The next day after breakfast, we descend 2,000 feet into the giant caldera of this extinct volcano. The famous Ngorongoro Crater is a World Heritage Site situated at the eastern edge of the Serengeti in northern Tanzania.

The crater is the largest unbroken ancient caldera in the world; a haven for thousands of wild game, including lions, elephants, wildebeests, zebras, rhinos, Thomson's gazelles and buffaloes which share this land with the legendary Maasai tribesmen. Grass is short, and thus game drives are very rewarding. We spend a full day on the crater floor before climbing up back to Karatu for overnight camp (B, L, D)





Day 6: Mto wa Mbu

B-Breakfast, L-Lunch, D-Dinner






Today, we begin our second leg of the safari taking it slow and easy. At 1000 hrs, we drive through the Great Rift of Kenya with a picturesque view of the eye-catching landscape. We continue down the rift Valley escarpment to Malu, Naivasha arriving in time for a lunch. Afternoon at leisure for a deserved siesta or simply enjoy the cozy and serene atmosphere of this splendid bush retreat.
Nestled in ancient cedar forest, the cottages offer breathtaking views of Mt Longonot, Lake Naivasha and the Great Rift Valley. During our three day stay at Malu, many out-door adventures await us; we can choose to engage in casual, informative, walk with resident naturalists, cycling, horse riding and bird watching. Dinner and overnight at Malu (B, L, D)
A free morning to relax and unwind or engage in any of the activities available at Malu. After lunch, we could opt for two hour excursion down the impressive Ol-njorowa Gorge within the nearby Hell's Gate National Park or a boat ride in the nearby Lake Naivasha.
The only fresh water Rift Valley lake in Kenya. We undertake a memorable hippo cruise spiced with bird watching opportunities. Return to Malu for a Sumptuous dinner and sleep to the sounds of the African bush. (B, L, D)





Day 7: Lake Manyara-Nairobi

Day 8: Malu, Naivasha



A rather long but interesting and rewarding day. Early morning game drives in Lake Manyara national park. Lake Manyara a small park famed for its large troops of  baboons and elephants, abundant birdlife- flamingoes in particular, tree climbing lions and its large soda lake and hot springs presenting excellent photo opportunities.

After breakfast depart for Nairobi with en route lunch at the border town of Namanga. Overnight stay at the elegant and refreshing Fairview hotel, Nairobi. You could opt to fly from Arusha to Nairobi at an extra cost of USD 235 per person. (B, L)

Day 9: Lake Nakuru National Park
Day 10: Malu, Naivasha
Today, a two-hour drive gets us to Lake Nakuru where we have the chance to see the greatest bird spectacle in the world. A million or so flamingoes, beside pelicans and cormorants make Lake Nakuru a bird lover's paradise.
A game drive through the various habitats of the park will certainly reveal why the park earned its status as a RAMSAR site as well as one of the best performing Rhino sanctuaries in Africa.
Lunch at the Sarova Lion hill lodge with a panoramic view of the lake. Afternoon gamedrive and back to Malu for overnight stay (B, L, D)
Days 11 and 12: Kisumu
Day 13 and 14: Maasai Mara Nat'l Reserve
Just after breakfast, we set off for a four to five hour drive to the haven of wildlife-the Maasai Mara. We enjoy a stunning view of the undulating plains of the Mara from the comfort our of safari landcruiser.

This gets awesome as we approach our bush resort, Keekorok lodge. Our two-day stay is a ritual of morning and evening game drives exploring the intrigues and fascinations of the Mara; from the game studded plains to the little hills and sentry termite mounds down to the rumbling Mara River all in hunt of wildlife!

This is where you can see elephant, buffalo, lion, cheetah, leopard, zebra, giraffe, hippo, crocodile and a whole ark-full of other animals. The experience in MaasaiMara is incomplete without interacting with the locals.







Today, a four hours drive further West gets us to Kisumu, a beautiful city lying next to Africa's largest fresh water mass, Lake Victoria.we check into our serene village homestead overlooking this awesome water mass, the right place to experience the splendor of the African Lake communities in all its raw and stunning beauties.

This area is home to one of Kenya's largest tribe, the Luo, with fishing as their mainstay economic activity. During our visit, feel free to wander amongst the villagers and take in the surrounding rural scenes.

Day 15: Departure Day
You could opt to visit (approx. USD 20 per person) a unique Maasai Cultural Village where you get to interact with the community guides, interpreters and elders.On showcase are dances, folklore, fire making techniques and lots of cultural activities that make us realize learn how different (and yet how similar) their everyday life is to ours. Try and strike up a conversation with the locals and enjoy their hospitality. We can opt for a ride in the traditional canoe, an excellent chance to match our fishing skills with the local fishermen.

Later enjoy dinner under the glorious African moon replete with fine African Cuisine, such as 'nyama choma' (roasted meat), and 'samaki choma' (roasted fish) just besides the beautiful lakeshore. Overnight Osiri Village camp by the lake (B, L, D)

Time to say farewell to the awesome Maasai Mara. We drive back to Nairobi with enroute lunch arriving late afternoon. You could opt for last minute shopping at the Utamaduni crafts centre before a farewell dinner by our hosts then its time to transfer to the airport for flight back home, marking the end of an unforgettable sojourn.
